ISO 9001:2008 was introduced to clarify the existing requirements of ISO 9001:2000 and improve the consistency of ISO 9001:2004. No new requirements were added to the 2008 version. The ISO 9001: 2008 has been replaced by ISO 9001:2015, the latest version of the standard.
